Emirates Post has now introduced a service where you can apply to get your mail delivered direct to your door.

What is “My Home”?

“My Home” is a new personal P.O.Box service from Emirates Post. Under this system, a mail box will be installed on the compound wall of each villa for dropping and receiving mail.

“My Home” Benefits:

Locate “My Home” P.O.Box through GPS Service:

The GPS coordinates for identifying P.O.Box location are provided upon customer request.

Is this service also provided by the postal agencies?

No Customers can apply for “My Home” service only through the Emirates Post counters and website.

Can the current P.O Box number be used in “My Home” services?

No, the present P.O.Box numbers cannot be retained for the “My Home” service, except for customers holding P.O.Boxes within this range (600000 – 999999) .

How is “My Home” different from the current P.O.Box?

Currently, a subscriber has to go to the post office where his P.O.Box is located to collect and drop his mail. However under “My Home” service, subscriber will not be required to visit the post office as his mail will be delivered and collected at his doorstep.

Can another mailbox be used for receiving and dropping mail besides the one Emirates Post is providing for “My Home”?

No, Emirates Post will supply and install standard mail boxes. No other mail boxes are permitted to be installed.

Is there a separate cost for the mailbox? And who will bear the cost of replacing it if damaged?

No, the customer pays only the annual rental fee. Emirates Post will bear the costs of the mail box and its installation. Emirates Post will also replace a damaged box, if the damage was due to natural causes. For any other damages the customer will pay AED 1000 for the new mailbox.

Can the customer choose where to fix the My Home P.O.Box?

The location has to be either on the compound wall or, if there isn’t a compound wall, the mail box will be installed somewhere near the front door. The exact location can be suggested by the subscriber, provided it is falls within the installation rules of Emirates Post.

How long does it take to get My Home P.O.Box installed, from the time of registering?

A week from subscribing to the services. This will be subject to the availability of the delivery and installation of the mailbox.

How will the mail dropped and picked up in My Home P.O.Box?

There will be two options: 3 times a week for a value of 750, or 6 times a week for additional value of 500 AED, subject to availability.

What will happen if client is out of the country for some time?

My Home customers may apply for temporary suspension of mail pickup and delivery service for a minimum period of one month and maximum period of three months on payment of AED 100 for each application.

Are rented villa entitled to “My Box” service?

It could be owned or rented villa, however for rented villa mail box will be installed, provided the subscriber has obtained the landlord’s written approval.

In a case of canceling “My Box” will the remaining period be refunded?

No. There will not be any refund.

What are the different types of services provided for individuals?

Can the credit of a current P.O.Box number be transferred to another bundles?

YES. Emirates Post will transfer the remaining balance from the previous P.O.Box account to the new account.

If a customer moves to a different emirate, can he keep the number?

A subscriber may apply for shifting a P.O.Box in the category “My Home”, “My Building” or “My Zone” to a new location against payment of prescribed fees, provided the service is available in the new location and the P.O. Box number is within the range (600000 – 999999).

What are the added service benefits for Residential P.O Box?

The key benefits include:

Accessing the P.O. Box Online:

This service provides flexibility to manage the P.O. Box through online access, viewing the notifications of incoming “eShaar” and photographs of automated sorted ordinary mail. The items displayed online may differ from the actual content of the P.O. Box.

SMS notification “eShaar” service:

There are two types of SMS “eShaar” services

  • Notifying the arrival of registered mail, parcel or express mail.
  • Weekly SMS to notify the customer of any incoming automated sorted ordinary mail.

This service is free for “My Home”, “My Building”, “My Zone”

Retaining the P.O.Box Number:

A subscriber may apply for shifting a P.O.Box in the categories )My Home, My Building, My Zone) to a new location within 14 working days against payment of prescribed fees, provided the service is available in the new location and the P.O.Box number is within the range (600000 – 999999).

International Courier Service Discount:

The customer shall get 10% discount on Empost International Courier services, provided that the parcel is sent from the P.O. Box owner’s home or from the Post Office. The discount shall be valid during the subscription period.

What if a customer lost the P.O.Box key?

A new key will be arranged for a fee of 100 AED and it will be delivered to the customer upon replacing the lock.

Is it possible to subscribe to P.O.Box online?

YES, customer can login and process their request online.
